Steve has over twenty-five years of financial and business advisory experience. Steve has completed transactions with both domestic and internationally-based companies.
Steve was previously involved in wholesale, distribution, and manufacturing industries. Steve served as Chief Financial Officer in one of the largest privately-held distributor companies in America. As CFO Steve facilitated the acquisition and integration of six companies, directed a 100-person finance/accounting team, and was responsible for all aspects of the financial operations and reporting.
Steve is a Certified Public Accountant who was an auditor and consultant with KPMG and BDO Seidman.
Mark Powers has practiced business and transactional law for 24 years. Mark lost count of the number of business sale transactions he brought to a closing.He has worked as a corporate attorney supporting Fortune 500 corporation business operations and mergers and acquisitions activity, as well as owners of family-run businesses.
Mark continues practicing law, focusing on advising businesses, owners of operating companies, and buyers and sellers of businesses.
Mark graduated from Michigan State University ('92) and University of Michigan Law School ('95). Mark is licensed to practice law in Illinois and holds a Business Broker license in Illinois.
